After spending three hard years in a refugee camp as a political refugee, Godswill Keenam arrived in the US in 1999 with his wife Florence. He came here because his life was in danger. Ogoni people were being murdered because they opposed the oil companies destroying their land and the government didn't help the Ogoni people because of being paid large sums of money by the oil companies. You can find more about their struggle by doing a search on Ogoni Struggle. www.raticalorg/corporations/OgoniefactS.html (Publici.ucimc.org/april2002/42002_8html). Ogoni is the name of Godswill's tribe. National Geographic Magazine February Issue, 2007.
When he arrived in Manchester, NH, he assumed America was God's country but found out that it was not a place of prayer. He tried to get prayer in the church but the church in NH wasn't ready for it so he started prayer in his home. Many people joined them to pray and overcrowded their apartment.
Godswill had a network of lay people from a number of churches that believed in his vision of a corporate prayer center and the need of increased prayer in NH and supported him and his vision. These people came together on a weekly basis to pray the Lord accomplish all He wanted to accomplish in their city. As time went on the number of lay people increased and a few churches embraced his vision to a certain extent and this helped to propel him to the next level. He gathered pastors from different churches to come together monthly and pray for the needs of our city and now prayer meetings are going on in different churches in this area.
He held the first Prayer and Leadership Conference in June, 2002 in the Church of God Church in Manchester, NH. He continued on to hold Prayer and Leadership Conferences in 2003 and 2004 with excellence.
Seven years ago the Lord told Godswill to start a television program called "The Prophetic Voice of Revival". Since then people all over the world can watch this program over through his website on www.comi-nh.com
Godswill continued to work hard toward the vision of a corporate prayer center the Lord had given him when he arrived here. He held Community Prayer Breakfasts each year to bring the community and church together. The city mayor attended along with the governor of NH. During the National Day of Prayer in 2004 He not only held a successful prayer breakfast, and prayer event in a local park, but Manchester allowed him and others to prayer in the Aldermanic Chambers at City Hall. This was the beginning of prayer in Manchester's City Hall. Now we pray every last Friday of the Month for Manchester, and the communities, state and nation. The Lord has given Godswill Keenam the gate to Manchester, NH which he takes seriously.
He saw a need for a corporate place for people to gather and pray, and the NH House of Prayer was established on May 1, 2005. In 2006 and 2007 Godswill held the New England Prophetic School of Prayer and Intercession, and brought in powerful anointed spiritual leaders to Manchester to teach, equip, and empower the church through excellent teaching and impartations.
His goal for the future is the call God placed on his heart on day twelve of the recent 21 days of prayer and fasting in December 2006. He is to take this urgency to pray throughout all the States of America so she will turn back to her roots of prayer and America will Arise Once Again Arise Spiritually. His vision for the future is to have a global prayer center and prayer camp in NH where people will come from all over America and the world to learn new strategies on prayer, be refreshed and renewed and return home with fresh fire from the Lord. The prayer center will have ongoing 24/7 prayer that will go out from NH and bring change to our nation.
