Principles

ARC seeks to be a relationship-based fellowship, and not just an organization. Membership in ARC requires a genuine and on-going relationship to the fellowship. Consequently, ARC would be seen as the primary source of equipping and accountability for those ordained through the fellowship. For those who are already in ministry and consider another ministry as their "covering" special allowances can be made to view ARC as one significant source of friendship, partnership and blessing. Ministries recognized by ARC will include, but not be limited to, all of the ministries referred to in Ephesians 4:11, I Corinthians 12:28, and Romans 12:6-8.

Some of our long term plans include:

1. To send forth church planting teams (Apostles/Prophets) into New England and the nation to establish healthy, Christ-centered churches (See Ephesians 2:20, Acts 13:1-3);

2. To establish Pastors/Teachers in the churches we establish (many of these elders would be raised up within the local congregation (See Acts 14:23, 20:17,28);

3. To train and raise up Evangelists who are anointed to gather and minister to the lost (II Timothy 4:5);

4. To thrust forth missionary teams into the nations with specific calling and giftings to plant churches, teach the saints, minister prophetically and serve the international Body of Christ

Expectations

1. A clear call to Christian ministry with a commitment to fulfill that calling

2. A lifestyle that reflects the standards and qualities necessary for Christian leadership

3. A willingness to multiply effectiveness in ministry through team-work, accountability, and Christian unity

4. First, a time of fasting and prayer for God's leading. We will believe God for supernatural confirmation for each candidate.

5. Development of vision and goals that is unique to each individual/couple. The starting point is a clear establishing of the 'Life Vision Statement' of each one.

6. Short-term and mid-range objectives will also be established (i.e. What is needed for me to be equipped to plant churches in Russia? What must I learn to be a part of an apostolic/prophetic team? How can I be released to pastor a church? etc.).

7. Maintaining a pure and simple devotion to Jesus Christ. This will be known by a life of prayer, study of the Word, and loving relationships, (husband/wife/children and others in the Body), quick to forgive offenses, faithful service, hospitality, generosity and a meek and quiet spirit.

8. Candidate would also be expected to disciple others by raising up other leaders to walk in your footsteps. Multiplying our life into others by raising up other leaders to walk in your footsteps. Multiplying our life into others and equipping others will be a vital part of the training.

Membership Requirements

1. Joyfully committed to the leadership and vision of Apostolic Resource Center.

2. Financially giving back to ARC (this can take different forms but is a requirement).

3. Attend and endorse ARC gatherings.

Process of Ordination

The New Testament says little about becoming 'ordained' as a 'minister'. Although the discipleship training, personal impartation of gifting and maturing, with the laying on of hands, seems to be the Biblical process of ordaining others into ministry (I Timothy 4:4, II Timothy 1:6, Acts 13:1-3, 14:23).

II Timothy 2:2 gives a 5-fold release of impartation for ministry “And the things YOU (Timothy, a church planting evangelist?) have heard ME say (Paul, an apostle) in the presence of MANY WITNESSES (prophetic presbytery?) entrust to RELIABLE MEN (Pastors?) who will also be QUALIFIED TO TEACH others (Teachers)." So Paul the Apostle

(1), imparted to Timothy the evangelist

(2), in the presence prophetic witnesses

(3), Timothy in turn imparted to the Pastors

(4), who would be able to teach others

(5). Ordination may be defined as the act of setting one apart to an office of leadership in the Christian ministry by the church in a ceremony of worship. This does not, however, bestow any honor or authority on one above another.

The process of becoming ordained through the auspices of ARC includes the following:

1. Establish a Life Vision Statement.

2. Develop a Personal Development Strategy.

3. A valid ministry purpose for Ordination.

4. Complete at least two years of Bible training.

5. Member of ARC for at least one year.

6. Approval of the ARC Leadership Team.

7. Those ordained into ministry by ARC are expected to tithe to ARC.

The latitude of authority given by ordination through ARC is described as:

1. Recognized by Apostolic Resource Center to function in any ministerial capacity sanctioned by the guidelines of ARC. These ordination credentials would be recognized legally under the authority of the Constitution and by-Laws of Apostolic Resource Center, Inc. and would be in effect as long as the Minister remained in good standing with the governing Board of ARC. This is subject to an annual review.

2. Approved to use the title of 'Reverend' in an official capacity. (If deemed necessary.)

3. Approved to perform sacerdotal functions such as marriages, funerals, baptisms, etc.

4. If released by ARC to enter the foreign mission field under ARC auspices, the minister may seek financial support from churches and organizations as a ARC sponsored missionary.

5. It is our policy for a husband and wife team to ordain the husband, credentials being made in his name. If the wife desires ordination as well that will be considered on an individual basis.
